Science Daily recently published an article that examines the medical aspect around the relationship between Explore/Excite and Examine/Execute. In the article they state that when the brain is focused on Empathy (Explore/Excite) that it cannot also be focused on being Analytical (Examine/Execute). One thing we teach to daily is awareness, being low in one or the other is not your get out of jail free card! As the author states “You’ll never get by without both networks… You don’t want to favor one, but cycle efficiently between them, and employ the right network at the right time.”
